Marc Ellerby - Rick and Morty

I worked on the Rick and Morty comics for ten years and in that time I drew thousands of interior pages and around 100 covers for the series. I started out drawing (and eventually writing) short little back up comics for the series before promoted to lead artist. In 2025 I was commissioned to write and draw my own mini series Ricklemania as my final project.

It is without any doubt the job that changed my life. Rick and Morty forever, a hundred years Rick and Morty.

Ricklemania preview

Towards the end of my time on the series I got to write and draw my own mini-series Ricklemania! It is my love letter to both professional wrestling and the world and fandom of Rick and Morty. I reckon it features my best artwork for the series!

Wrestling fever has struck the Smith household! After stumbling across a wrestling channel on TV, Morty becomes obsessed with the Interdimensional Wrestling Federation and begs Rick to take him to one of their bare-knuckle brawls. While there, Jerry ends up signing an exploitative contract with the IWF’s sponsor, PRO Energy Drink. Rick and Morty must break Jerry out of the contract, and the only way to do so is to enter the ring and fight their way out!
